Just in time to kick off the school year, Dragon Nation has a new reason to feel proud. Carroll ISD skyrocketed to No. 21 in Niche’s ranking of the Best School Districts in America. The research company ranked 10,574 districts in its 2018 Best School Districts roundup.

Results are based on a rigorous analysis of key statistics and millions of reviews from students and parents using data from the U.S. Department of Education. Ranking factors include state test scores, college readiness, graduation rates, SAT/ACT scores, teacher quality, public school district ratings and more.

Other North Texas school districts to rank highly include Highland Park ISD at No. 17; Coppell ISD at No. 25; Allen ISD at No. 33; Plano ISD at No. 43; and Frisco ISD at No. 60.
