Hit the Links for DFW Wounded Veterans

Aug 30, 2017 08:21AM ● By Audrey Sellers

Save the date for September 11: North Texas Warrior Golf Association (NTWGA) will host its Seventh-Annual North Texas Warrior Charity Golf Tournament at Timarron Country Club.

The tournament will be a four-person scramble format. Tournament check-in begins at 8 a.m. and a shotgun start promptly at 9:30 a.m. Spots to play in the tournament are currently available to tournament sponsors with sponsorships ranging from $1,000 to $4,000. Each sponsored four-person team will be paired with a NTWGA Warrior Golfer. All proceeds from this fundraising event will be used to support operations of the North Texas Warrior Golf Association. Money raised in the DFW goes directly back to DFW Wounded Veterans. Plus, 97 percent of money raised goes directly back to warrior programs.

The mission is to provide rehabilitative golfing experiences for injured service members residing in North Texas. Over the past five years, NTWGA hosted 61 wounded veterans in the North Texas Warrior Golf Association Golf Clinics. The NTWGA provided these heroes with golf instruction, equipment, apparel and playing opportunities – all in an effort to provide rehabilitative and recreational therapy to these soldiers.
