Run4Elise Event Returns for a Second Year

Mar 28, 2018 11:11AM ● Published by Maleesa Johnson

On April 7, the 2018 Elise Cerami Memorial Scholarship Winners will be announced in conjunction with a 5K/1 Mile fun run event honoring the life of its namesake. Elise Cerami was Southlake Carroll student who tragically passed away during a club swim practice in 2016.

Since then, the Swim4Elise Foundation has been working to promote water safety and work to reduce fatal drownings. The foundation fulfills this mission by providing outreach programs and awarding scholarships to swimmers committed to both excellence and safety in their sport.

Run4Elise raises proceeds for the foundation and scholarship fund. In addition, critical water safety resources will be provided to Run4Elise participants, along with finisher medals to commemorate their achievements. Both the 5K and 1-mile fun run/walk offer a downhill finish and are family-friendly. Strollers are welcome. Event details, including course maps, may be found online at Run4Elise.com.
