Three Ways To Give Back To GRACE

Apr 13, 2018 08:32AM ● By Ashley Madonna

A horrific fire tore through GRACE’s community medical clinic on Wednesday night leaving the space covered in ash and soot. The damage continued into the center’s food pantry leaving severe damage because of the immense amount of smoke.

Through it all, GRACE will push on. They are in the process of establishing a temporary facility so their clinic can continue to see its patients. They are also sifting through their food inventory to see if any of their donations are useable.

“Every shovelful of soot and ash tossed into a dumpster will remind me of the duty that GRACE has to be a steward of those blessings and resources that you have chosen to bestow upon this community, and the duty that we have as an organization,” executive director Shonda Schaefer said in a press release.

The nonprofit organization needs support now more than ever. They are accepting monetary donations that will go to support the families they give back to. Also, today, Friday 13, they are asking for volunteers to help them go through their food pantry to assist with the cleanup. Their signup list is filling up extremely fast, so be sure to reserve your spot to show support. GRACE will continue to inform the public on ways they need help during this difficult time.

Participating in events who are giving back to GRACE is another great way to make a difference. Dine to Donate benefiting GRACE kicks off today. And FÜDTRUKY, which will occur on May 5, will donate all of the ticket sales and a percentage of concession sales to the organization.
