Looking at the numbers behind Fourth of July, it's clear our country is crazy about the holiday. According to Wallethub's latest report, Americans are expected to spend more than $825 million on fireworks, $6.9 billion on festive food and $1.6 billion on Fourth of July beer and wine sales. And after looking at the rundown of local Independence day events, the Metroplex proves to be no exception. In fact, that study named Dallas the 11th best city in the country to celebrate Fourth of July. So grab your red, white and blue and get ready to enjoy the fun summertime holiday in style at one of these Fourth of July celebrations. 

Stars and Stripes

July 3 | Southlake Town Square

The Southlake Town Square celebration is back and better than ever with plenty of live entertainment, food options, family-friendly activities and much more. Local groups like Downtown Fever and Southlake Community Band will take the stage throughout the day. And balloon artists, strolling characters and inflatable midway games are sure to entertain your kids in between acts. Fireworks start at 9:30 p.m., so claim your spot on the lawn before they take over the sky. Just bring out your blankets, chairs and sunscreen, and be prepared to enjoy the evening out on the town.

Addison Kaboom Town!

July 3 | Addison Circle

One of the biggest firework shows in the area can be found in Far North Dallas. Addison Kaboom Town! has been filling the sky with vibrant lights for more than thirty years, and now, it’s ready to impress a new set of locals with its fun carnival activities, midway games, face painting, live entertainment, air shows and more. Whether you stop by Addison Circle or attend one of the nearby watch parties, this extravagant event is one you won’t forget.

Lone Stars and Stripes Celebration

July 3 & 4 | Lone Star Park

For a celebration full of live racing, live music and lots of fun, head over to Lone Stars & Stripes Celebration. Both days are sure to be full of excitement for the whole family with an expanded Family Fun Park. Your kids will love the bounce houses, face painters, tattoo artists, pony rides, petting zoo and more. After the races conclude, guests can enjoy a fireworks show choreographed to music. Be sure to buy your general admission early, because prices jump up to $20 per person the day of.

Texas Rangers Post-Game Fireworks

July 3 & 4 | Globe Life Park in Arlington

Catch a game before catching a show by heading out to Globe Life Park on July 3 and 4. The Texas Rangers will take on the Houston Astros both nights and will host post-game fireworks to round out the night. So whether you come out on Tuesday for their Navy Appreciation Night or Wednesday for their Air Force Appreciation Night, and Texas Chili Company Dollar Hot Dog Night, you’re sure to have a great time.

Fair Park Fourth

July 4 | Fair Park

For an all-day, Wednesday event, head over to Dallas to check out Fair Park Fourth. With plenty of free attractions spread throughout the park grounds, like water inflatables, games, a zipline, rides and more, it’s the perfect place to take your kids on your day off. Starting at 6 p.m., guests can enjoy live entertainment at the lagoon. And at approximately 9:37 p.m., the fireworks show will begin. You can either stop and watch wherever you are in the grounds or grab a seat inside of the Cotton Bowl Stadium to take in the show. 

36th Annual July 4th Fireworks Extravaganza

July 4 | Lake Grapevine

For a day-of fireworks event closer to home, head over to Lake Grapevine to enjoy the 36th annual July 4th Fireworks Extravaganza. Their show will take place over the lake, which means you can view the fireworks from a wide range of viewing locations. Whether you want to head over to one of the parks or make your way over to one of the boat ramps, this is sure to be a beautiful night.
