We all turn to online review platforms to scope out new places. Whether that be finding a great tailor or a happy hour location, Yelp is an abundant resource for learning from your neighbors about nearby options.
And now, the platform is providing even more information for those looking for restaurant recommendations. Starting this week, Yelp has partnered with Health Department Inspection Scores to include health code data on each restaurant's user page. Their database covers 73 percent of the population in the USA and includes 1,164,381 restaurants and food serving establishments, according to their website, which includes several Southlake eateries.
Because different areas around the country use varying methods to grade their restaurants through health inspections, you may want to take these ratings with a grain of salt. But it could act as a validation point that your restaurant of choice offers a clean and safe environment for dining.
