What’s your typical Saturday look like? If it’s either packed with sports commitments or spent on the coach Netflix and chilling, it may be time to shake it up. So Saturday, October 13, make time for your loved ones by attending one of these exciting events together. You never know what you are missing until you get out there.
Take in “The Unique Dining Capital of Texas” at the 13th annual Celebrate Roanoke this Saturday. The free downtown festival, running from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., will provide something for the whole family. There will be live music, children’s activities, food, shopping and so much more. Don’t forget to stick around for the event’s fireworks. It’ll be a night everyone is sure to love.
Watch a show from the sky by heading over to the Bell Fort Worth Alliance Air Show. On October 13 and 14, the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds and the Canadian Forces Snowbirds Air Demonstration Squadrons will take on the North Texas skies. And kids will love the two child-friendly zones featuring the world’s largest inflatable slide and lots of aviation-themed activities.
For a whole lot of family-friendly fun, stop by the Timarron Country Club on Saturday from 12 to 2 p.m. for their Family Pumpkin Painting event. Reservations are required, but members can bring friends out to enjoy a movie, popcorn, cupcakes and a lot of creativity. Each pumpkin can be decorated for $15, which is a steal when you look at the supplies that will be provided and mess you will be avoiding.
Continue the seasonal fun by heading over to Keller’s Fall Fun Festival. From 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., the city will host a family- and pet-friendly event including face painting, balloon art, trick or treating, shopping and a costume contest for both kids and dogs. Located outside of Keller Town Hall, this city celebration is one you won’t want to miss.
Get in the best fan experience in town by heading out to the Dallas Cowboys first Rally Day of the season. On Saturday, locals can enjoy a behind-the-scenes tour of AT&T Stadium, test their skills during on-field games and activities and stop by the Kids Zone to enjoy games, face painting and more. Be sure to get your tickets early so that you and your family can reserve their spots for the fun-packed day.
