On Giving Tuesday, Carroll Education Fund hosted its first Teacher Telethon. Their ambitious goal for the month of November was to fund one teacher by raising $50,000, and they hoped the Telethon would play a big role in doing so.
CEF is so pleased to say, "WE DID IT!" For the Telethon, CEF had an amazing group of 50 volunteers, including many wonderful CISD students. They also had $30,000 in matching pledges from several generous area businesses.
CEF wants to thank all of their volunteers, the parents who graciously took our calls and donated, and the amazing businesses for providing the funds that helped achieve their goal. They are ever closer towards reaching their big, first-year goal of funding one teacher on each of our 11 campuses.
There is still time to become a part of this exciting transformation and help make a difference for every student and campus in CISD.
