Scott Alvis- President and General Manager SynXis

Scott Alvis, President and General Manager of SynXis, oversees all aspects of Sabre’s hotel technology business including hotel distribution across the Sabre Travel Network, as well as SynXis, Sabre’s rapidly growing hotel distribution technology and services business.  Prior to assuming his current role he spent 16 years with Sabre, most recently as Senior Vice President of Enterprise Marketing for Sabre Holdings.  In this role he was responsible for guiding the company’s corporate strategy and market research efforts. Scott has also served as Senior Vice President of Travel Supplier Distribution and Senior Vice President of Marketing and Sales for Sabre.

What’s most amazing about Scott is that after 18 years in the business and with as many as 4 trips per month for his job, he still lists travel along with reading and golf as his favorite past times.  He may be the perfect case study in “love what you do and do what you love.”

After traveling on business to such places as Hong Kong, London, Dubai and Montevido he still chooses to keep quite a bit of his personal travel within the United States.  Family trips to visit his kid’s grandparents in Branson, Missouri still top the list as his favorite personal destination.  Next up for the Alvis’, San Diego as Scott puts it, “It is a great location for families with children as they can see the beach, world class zoo, and Sea World all in one spot.”

Scott enjoys all that Southlake has to offer him and his family.  Most importantly he likes the short commute to his office and to The Feedstore Barbeque, his favorite family hang out.  Of the later he says, “It is right around the corner with good food, fast service and overall it’s great for young kids.”
