“Travel has always fascinated” Sonia recalls, “and when the opportunity to join Sabre came up I jumped for my boarding pass!” Nine years later Sonia has no regrets with the move that took her from practicing commercial litigation at an international law firm in Houston to the friendly confines of Southlake.
Originally hired by Sabre to handle litigation matters, Sonia’s responsibilities have grown almost as fast as her frequent flyer balances. As

Sabre’s Deputy General Counsel and Sr. Vice President she oversees the legal department along with intellectual property matters and running the the company's corporate compliance program and Business Ethics Policy.
Although Sonia admits to not having the “road warrior” status of many of her colleagues, she did have the rewarding experience of working at Sabre’s UK headquarters which allowed her to conduct so eye opening weekend travel, an opportunity for which she is forever grateful.
Now a-days she travels several times a year on trips with the family, and visits with her sister and girlfriends. According to Sonia, “there is a difference between traveling -seeing lots of sights and doing local activities and vacationing - relaxing on the beach.” She professes to love both and tries to do each as often as possible.
Her love for travel is such that she has yet to find a destination that she didn’t enjoy. So she’s more than willing to travel anyplace where she can get a good deal. Seems like she picked the right place to work didn’t she?
Whether home or on the road, Sonia enjoys a good meal and some good wine and calls Farpointe Cellar & Wine Bistro her favorite local hangout. She also enjoys working off a good meal on the local tennis courts, at the gym or just chasing her daughters around.
