Southlake’s Town Square is a hub that draws local residents together for dining, shopping and various family and community events. Annual events like Art in the Square, the Stars and Stripes Fourth of July Celebration, the Holiday Celebration at Town Square and the Masterworks Concerts draw thousands from throughout Southlake and the DFW Metroplex.

Southlake residents are highly educated with more than 97% of residents having attained a high-school degree 40% a bachelor’s degree and 20% a graduate degree. It is this commitment to higher education that has created the atmosphere for a school system of the highest caliber. The Carroll Independent School District (CISD) is the heart of the community and maintains a 99% graduation rate while sending 95% of its students on to the college ranks. The district consists of 11 campuses serving more than 7,700 students with over 1,000 employees. The district is rated by the Texas Education Agency for the 2008-2009 school all of the district's 11 campuses have been rated "Exemplary."
