Mike Tesoriero - Owner/ Editor, Southlake Style -    mike@southlakestyle.com

Mike developed the idea for Southlake Style in August of 2005.  After many positive reactions to the Southlake Style business plan he  decided to bring the idea to life.  The first issue of Southlake Style was published in March of 2006 and promptly received the honor of Southlake’s Small Business of the Year for 2006.

Mike is a self professed entrepreneur with over 10 years of sales, marketing and business consulting experience primarily within the pharmaceutical industry.

Mike was born and raised in upstate New York where he also earned both a bachelor’s of science degree in biotechnology and an MBA in marketing from the Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, New York.  In 2004, he and his wife, Nicole, moved to Texas to pursue their careers and the high quality of life characteristic of the DFW area.  Mike currently resides in Southlake’s Timarron with Nicole and their two daughters.

When he is not spending time with their young family- Mike enjoys playing sports, photography and riding his motorcycle.

Nicole Tesoriero - Owner/ Advertising Director, Southlake Style - nicole@southlakestyle.com

Nicole is known best for her care free smile and friendly demeanor which made her an outstanding success during her 10 year advertising sales career with Verizon.  After several national awards with Verizon, she decided to leave the corporate world in 2005 and immediately built a solid foundation and reputation for Southlake Style.

Nicole was both born and raised in New York where she earned a bachelor’s of science degree in business marketing from the Rochester Institute of Technology.  In 2004, she and her husband, Mike, moved to Texas to pursue their careers and the high quality of life characteristic of the DFW area.  She currently resides in Southlake’s Timarron with Mike and their two daughters.

When she is not spending time with their young family- Nicole enjoys exercising, yoga, cooking and reading.  In 2008, Nicole put her love for exercise and community involvement together and started her own team for the Susan G. Komen 3-day in Dallas.  Through her efforts and dedication she raised more than $25,000 for breast cancer research 

 

Rhonda Uhtenwoldt - Assistant Editor, Southlake Style - rhonda@southlakestyle.com

Rhonda and her family lived in numerous homes and cities throughout the Southeast before moving to Southlake in 2000 where they discovered a town that immediately felt like home. After a successful career in the real estate title insurance industry in several other states, Rhonda spent the last ten years in Southlake both working and volunteering with the Carroll ISD as her son went through school.  After her son’s graduation from Carroll she downsized and is truly enjoying this new phase in her life including her work with Southlake Style.

Like Mike and Nicole, Rhonda was born and raised in upstate New York. After beginning her college career at the University of Tennessee Knoxville, she received her bachelor’s of science degree in Management and Human Relations from Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville, Tennessee.  With her son at college Rhonda has gone back to school herself at Texas Woman’s University to pursue a Master’s degree in English and fulfill a lifelong dream to be a writer. 

 

Tina Auten - Office Manager, Southlake Style - tina@southlakestyle.com

A self-described “career volunteer,” Tina is a native of Fort Worth who moved to Southlake in 2006 after 20 years “on the move” with her husband, Ben, a career Air Force officer and their family.  Quickly bleeding “Dragon Green,” Tina soon became active with the Carroll Theatre Department as well as the Southlake Newcomers’ Club.  Now that her last child has graduated from Carroll and gone off to college, Tina has traded her volunteer hat to become a member of the Southlake Style team.

Starting college at Angelo State University as a marketing major, Tina graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in Anthropology from Southern Illinois University, Edwardsville, and spent several years as an adjunct professor of assorted writing and communication courses at College of Southern Maryland.  She also enjoyed a successful career in direct sales with both The Longaberger Company and Creative Memories.

In her spare time, Tina loves photography, scrapbooking, and spending time with her new grandson.

Paige, a native Texan, spent a majority of her life in and around the Dallas/Fort Worth area.  Thrilled to be in Tarrant County, she and husband, Cannon, moved to Southlake in 2007 with long-term plans to raise their two young children in the Carroll school district. 

With a Bachelor of Science Degree in Hospitality and Business Administration, Paige spent 15 years in Catering Management and Event Planning in both hotels and private country clubs.  After moving to Southlake and spending two years volunteering in school, church and the community, Paige joined the Southlake Style team in June 2009. 

When she is not managing accounts, networking or volunteering for local Chamber events, Paige enjoys spending time with her family at “the ranch”, camping, reading and photography.

David Faltys has served as the superintendent of the Carroll ISD January 3, 2006. He has quickly gained the admiration, trust and respect of the entire community.  David is a former classroom teacher, high school principal and assistant superintendent in Navasota. David is a graduate of Texas A&M University and recently earned his doctorate degree. He currently resides in CISD with his wife, Jennifer, and four children.

Meet the Zimmerman’s, funky Fort Worth designer meets Hoosier hard rocker.  Sound like a rule-breaking match?  But, the first rule of love (and style) is that there are no rules. That’s quite possibly what makes them truly inspired.

Local design powerhouse Jami Zimmerman pursued a Journalism/Public Relations from University of Texas.  A creative force with an uncanny ability to elicit personal style, she has been providing visual interpretation of individuality in the form of home décor for over 7 years.

Bob Zimmerman has first-hand experience in living life by blending styles. After earning a degree in Electrical Engineering Technology from Purdue University, he worked in carpentry while pursuing his dream as a lead singer in a rock ‘n roll band.  Bob brought his edgy experience to Cheap Thrills Décor in 2004.

Cheap Thrills Décor was founded in 2001 when a shopping fetish turned into a business and is now one of the fastest growing design firms and décor sources in the Metroplex.

Mike brings a broad base of experience from his global travels as a broadcaster and VP of Marketing for LSG Sky Chefs.  More importanly he and his wife Gloria are cruise specialists with more than 40 years of combined travel experience.  Mike and Gloria have a vast knowledge of air, sea and land traveling logistic management, worldwide.  So if you want to go somewhere, chances are one of them has been there.
