Make your summer memorable locally. There are multiple recurring events taking place this summer. If you are trying to plan a night out, here are some events happening throughout the summer that you will not want to miss out on.
Summer Movie at The Palace Theatre
Every Tuesday and Wednesday at 10 a.m. from June 8 to August 4, the Palace Theatre will be having its summer movie series. For just $4, you can enjoy a featured movie. “The Iron Giant,” “The Secret Garden,” “The Jungle Book” and “Madagascar” are on the schedule for the month of June. You have two more chances to attend Keller Summer Nights on Keller Town’s Hall's front lawn. Every Thursday of June, there is a different movie and band performing. On June 17, BluPrint Band DFW is performing, and “The Croods: A New Age” will be played. On June 24, Ben Hatton is performing, and “The Lion King” will be played. Bring a blanket, lawn chair and food for this fun evening. Concerts begin at 7:30 p.m., and the movies start at 9 p.m.
Summer of Cirque: Pirates and Princesses at Gaylord Texan
The Gaylord Texan presents Lone Star Circus in Summer of Cirque: Pirates & Princesses. Every Friday and Saturday night from June 4 to 26, watch an action-packed fusion of theater and cirque at the Glass Cactus. The production features the story of a boy who dreams of becoming a pirate and his journey around the world. Experience acrobatics, jugglers, contortions and more with your entire household.
The Keller Farmers Market happens by the creek in Bear Creek Park every Saturday morning from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. The market offers a wide range of fresh Texas produce, meats, tamales, baked goods, artisan bread, cheese, salsa, pasta, pickles, jellies and jams, honey, baked goods, prepared foods, pet products and crafts. Stop by to shop and support local businesses in Texas, rain or shine.
Fellowship of the Parks is bringing fun for the whole family every Sunday in June. The county fair is open from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Fellowship of the Parks in Grapevine. This event includes snacks and fun games for free.
Frisco Square’s free concert series Music in the Square takes place every Friday night of June from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. This is a family- and pet-friendly outdoor event. Three Pints and a Glass will perform on June 18, and Benton Lawson will perform on June 25. Head on over to Frisco Square to enjoy live music with the whole family.
