After serving Carroll ISD for 10 years, Carroll Senior High School principal Shawn Duhon is leaving the district to accept a new position at Keller ISD.
Having worked in education for more than 27 years, Shawn has served as the CSHS principal since 2012. Prior to his time at Carroll Senior High School, Shawn served as an associate principal for Northwest High School, an assistant principal at Dawson Middle School and an associate principal at James Bowie High School. He also served as a coach, teacher and assistant principal at Grand Prairie High School. Now he's moving on to Timber Creek High School, where he will serve as the head principal.
“Mr. Duhon brings a legacy of excellence to Timber Creek High School,” Keller ISD Executive Director for Student Services Leanne Shivers says in a media release. “We are excited to welcome his experience, knowledge and dedication to the Falcon family.”
Shawn’s first day with the district will be Thursday, July 1. A Carroll ISD spokesperson says he will be greatly missed and that parents can participate in a survey regarding his replacement later this week. The responses will be reviewed by an interview committee that will begin searching for a new principal in the next few weeks.
