Dragon staff members who have not yet been vaccinated from COVID-19 will have the chance to get vaccinated this Friday at the CISD Administration Center.
Earlier last month, the district was looking for providers that could help them vaccinate its staff from COVID-19. After reaching out to multiple clinics to no avail, one Dragon dad Dr. Niraj Mehta offered to bring the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine to Carroll staff and instructors.
According to lead nurse Karen Flexer, the vaccination clinic will be open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday, March 12 at the CISD Administration Center. On-site vaccinators will administer approximately 90 shots an hour, and their follow-up shot will be administered two weeks later on Friday, April 2.
“We’re making it much more convenient for our staff to get vaccinated and protect them from this virus,” Karen says. “We are very excited about this partnership with Dr. Mehta.”
