Through the course of last year’s DFW Restaurant Week, a total of $182,844 was raised for the North Texas Food Bank and Lena Pope, according to a press release.
Held during the height of the pandemic, more than 90 restaurants participated in the 2020 DFW Restaurant Week. Some of the local restaurants that participated included Mac’s on Main, Perry’s Steakhouse & Grille Grapevine and Kirby’s Prime Steakhouse Southlake.
“Last year, with many just trying to stay in business, we were honored to help the loyal restaurants that have supported our mission for years by reducing the percentage of proceeds in half that we normally would have received,” NTFB President and CEO Trisha Cunningham says via press release. “We are very grateful to the restaurants who were able to take plart and the diners who continued to dine-out or take-out for a good cause!”
This year, DFW Restaurant Week will take place from August 9 to September 5, with more details to be announced during the summer, according to a press release.
