Southlake’s beloved Duff’s Famous Wings is officially back in business. The family-owned restaurant temporarily closed this past weekend after a car crashed into its dining room, injuring six people and leaving the space in need of immediate repairs.
The sudden incident paused operations and left loyal customers waiting for updates from the perennial Southlake Style Readers' Choice winner for best wings. Known since 2013 for its inviting atmosphere and signature Buffalo-style wings, Duff’s has built a strong following, making the closure all the more noticeable.
Even before the accident, Duff’s had been in the middle of a renovation project to expand and update its patio — a timely upgrade as football season commences. While the project has experienced some delays, the plans remain firmly in place and will soon give diners a refreshed outdoor option to enjoy their meals.
Now, with repairs addressed and renovations continuing, Duff’s has reopened its doors to the community. The announcement, shared on Facebook, was met with an outpouring of excitement from fans eager to return to the lively, casual setting and dig back into plates of wings, fries and other comfort favorites.
