This year may feel like a dumpster fire, but at least we have Christmas. Gaylord Texan Resort in Grapevine has announced a new Christmas pop-up experience that will debut in November, according to a press release.
The pop-up, dubbed “I Love Christmas Movies,” will be a “multisensory exhibition in collaboration with Warner Bros. Consumer Products allowing guests to experience beloved holiday movies in a completely new way,” according to the press release.
Movies featured in the pop-up include “A Polar Express,” “A Christmas Story,” “Elf” and “National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation,” among others. There will be over 13 immersive scenes for guests to enjoy, as they listen to audio clips and view film props.
“More than ever this winter, friends and families will be seeking places they can go to experience the joy and magic of the holiday season together in a safe setting, and we are looking forward to providing an amazing selection of unique and memorable experiences for them at our (open) resorts in a safe and secure manner,” says Mike Stengel, Senior Vice President of Gaylord Hotels at Marriott International, in a press release.
While a full lineup will be announced soon, guests can look forward to other facets of this pop-up experience, including snow tubing, ice skating, gingerbread decorating, character breakfasts and much more.
Tickets for Gaylord Texan’s Christmas Pop-up Experience will go on sale on October 1, with the pop-up running from November 13 to January 3, 2021. More information about this festive Christmas experience can be found on its website.
