McDonald's
There’s something undeniably sugar-laden, yet delightful about slipping back into childhood… even if it comes via a Quarter Pounder and a shake that looks like a unicorn crashed into a wizard. McDonald’s new McDonaldland Meal, aka the “adult Happy Meal,” isn’t health food but it’s a sweet trip down memory lane all wrapped in a collectible tin.
Starting August 12, the Golden Arches have reopened the gates of McDonaldland, featuring familiar faces like Ronald, Grimace, and Hamburglar along with a souvenir tin filled with playful postcards, stickers and faux-passport art that will make your inner-child do a happy dance.
If the tin alone is not worth the trip, then the Mt. McDonaldland Shake with its vivid blue-raspberry-berry base topped with fluffy pink whipped cream should sweeten the deal.
It tastes like vanilla and cotton candy, with caloric hints of, “I should get back to the gym.”
Sometimes “balance” also means indulging your inner kid so go ahead and get your fix as this nostalgic mash-up is only available while supplies last.
