Southlake is preparing for a high-activity summer and fall as several global brands have officially locked in opening dates, while Town Square says goodbye to two long-standing retail staples.
From massive home furnishing anchors to high-tech athletic wear, here is the current state of the Square’s retail landscape:
The Big Summer Arrivals
The most anticipated opening of the season belongs to Crate & Barrel. The home décor giant has confirmed it will officially open its doors at 321 State Street (adjacent to Tyler’s) near July 4. The nearly 19,000-square-foot flagship is expected to be a major anchor for the Square’s western wing.
Joining the summer lineup is the Dallas-born Ascension Coffee, in the space previously occupied by Corner Bakery. Construction at its 100 State Street location is progressing rapidly, with an official opening target set for late summer 2026. The 4,223-square-foot space will feature both indoor and patio dining, serving its signature Australian-inspired craft coffee and brunch.
Expanding the Activewear Footprint
The second half of 2026 will see Southlake further solidify itself as a hub for premium athletic brands. ON Running has confirmed it will open its first Tarrant County storefront at 415 Grand Avenue East later this year. The 6,000-square-foot space will showcase the brand’s high-tech footwear and apparel.
Nearby, the sustainable fashion powerhouse Reformation is slated for a late 2026 debut at 213 Grand Avenue. The brand will occupy a 2,007-square-foot space near lululemon.
Now Serving and Shopping
For those visiting the Square this week, two new locations are already fully operational:
Rothy’s: The sustainable footwear brand known for its recycled materials is now open at 307 Grand Avenue East.
Mr. Winston’s: The luxury grooming and barber lounge is now welcoming clients at 1251 E. Southlake Blvd, Suite 323 in the Shops ot Southlake.
The Closures
As new brands move in, the Square is also seeing the departure of two familiar names. Eddie Bauer has officially shuttered its Southlake location as part of a broader shift in the brand's physical retail strategy. The boutique chain Francesca’s has also closed its doors.
