Connections Wellness Group is all about helping people, and no one is more committed to that mission than its providers. Opening in fall 2021, Connections Wellness Group helps its patients through individual counseling, therapy, psychiatry and medication management programs. And as a psychiatric nurse practitioner, Jaleesa Dukuly is at the forefront of patient care.
“She embodies our patient-first culture of helping any way she can, sometimes outside of the typical 50-minute doctor’s visit,” clinical director Katlin Parsons says. “She cares about every patient, not just the ones she’s meeting with.”
Completing her Master's of Science in Nursing at the University of Texas at Arlington, Jaleesa specializes in handling depression, anxiety and trauma for both adults and children 12 or older. No matter what they are struggling with, Jaleesa partners with her patients to help find the right treatment that works for them.
“She has a great bedside manner,” Katlin says. “She builds rapport very well with people. She’s very personable, and patients want to come back to her after they meet her. That’s because to them, it’s more than an office visit after that point.”
Through Connections Wellness, Jaleesa aspires to get to the heart of her patient’s issues and help them work toward a path leading to holistic health.
“We have registered therapists, psychiatrists, nurses, dieticians and board-certified family practice physicians,” Katlin says. “You’re not here for just one issue. We try to look at the person as a whole and figure out the best ways to help them.”
