The Southlake Chamber of Commerce recognized 11 individuals and businesses during its annual awards banquet on June 17.
With this year's theme being "Southstone," the Southlake Chamber's awards banquet was held to recognize residents and their outstanding contributions to the community. Southlake Foundation President Kush Rao was honored as Citizen of the Year for his unparalleled efforts in making the city a better place for everyone, while Bill Tait III and Lynda and Robert Warner were recognized as this year’s Ambassador and Volunteers of the Year. Michael Young and Kathy Talley received the President’s Award, Karl Chester was named Director of the Year and pastor Sterling Smith received the Chairman’s Award.
Meanwhile, GRACE won Civic Group of the Year, Cambria Hotel won Corporate Business of the Year and Selph Marketing won Small Business of the Year. Finally, Zach Lacy won Youth of the Year for his efforts on child advocacy.
