After declaring Chapter 11 bankruptcy in May, Tuesday Morning is closing several of its stores across the nation — including in Southlake.
The Dallas-based retailer has provided a variety of home decor, furniture and seasonal products to the area since 1974. But since the COVID-19 pandemic hit Texas in March, Tuesday Morning was forced to close many of its stores, with 132 of them closing for good.
“The prolonged and unexpected closures of our stores in response to COVID-19 has had severe consequences on our business,” Chief Executive Officer Steve Becker says in a media release. “The complete halt of store operations for two months put the company in a financial position that can be effectively addressed only through a reorganization in Chapter 11.”
One of the stores that’s permanently closing is at 2231 E. Southlake Blvd. It’s holding a closing sale of 20-60% off until its inventory runs out. Its hours of operation run from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday.
