The wait is almost over for North Texas families ready to trade the sandbox for the real deal.
Following fresh details from their latest social media reveal, Dig World is officially slated to break ground for guests at Grapevine Mills in June 2026. This isn't just another playground; it’s a high-octane, hands-on heavy equipment experience that turns "don't touch" into "take the controls."
While most theme parks keep you behind a safety rail, Dig World puts you in the operator's seat. The Grapevine location will feature full-size excavators and skid steers modified with proprietary safety systems, allowing even the youngest construction fans to move mountains of dirt.
According to the latest details from the park’s Instagram, the June opening will feature a specialized lineup of activities:
Heavy Metal Challenges: Guests can compete in skill-based digging challenges to prove their mastery of the machinery.
Construction Mini-Golf: A one-of-a-kind course where heavy machinery becomes part of the game.
Operator Training: Safety-trained staff guide every experience, making the park accessible for ages 3 and up.
Amenities for the "Crew": The site will include shaded seating, on-site snacks, and a retail area for those looking to take a piece of the construction site home.
The road to Grapevine started with a father’s vision. Houston entrepreneur Jacob Robinson was inspired by his son, Pierce, whose fascination with construction equipment became the blueprint for the entire company. That heart-led mission caught the eye of Robert Herjavec on "Shark Tank," who helped propel the brand toward its national expansion.
Now, Dig World is teaming up with North Texas’s own Dude Perfect to bring custom-designed trick shots and challenges to the Grapevine site. Located near Entrance 1 of the mall, Dig World joins a powerhouse lineup of entertainment including Meow Wolf and LEGOLAND Discovery Center.
With June fast approaching, the buzz is building for what might be the most unique opening in North Texas this year. Whether you have a construction-obsessed toddler or you're an adult who never outgrew the fascination with big rigs, the "Dirt Era" of Grapevine Mills is about to begin.
