The tree-lined streets of Continental Boulevard showcase the wonderful bronzebrsculptures and flowers of our roundabouts—proof that even our traffic looks good.br
2. WE HAVE THE BEST SCHOOL DISTRICT IN TEXAS.br
It's not just our Dragon Pride talking; multiple sources back it up. Carroll ISD topsbrthe charts from academics to the arts. And c'mon do other public schools havebrtheir own sports magazine?br
3. TONS OF FESTIVALS AND ANNUAL EVENTS.br
Community happenings like Art in the Square, Stars and Stripes and Home for thebrHolidays are but a few of the more popular free events that continue to impress.br
4. DRAGONS. EVERYWHERE.br
T-shirts, bumper stickers and playgrounds—you can't go far in this town withoutbra Dragon sighting. Our favorite? The undulating lawn dragon at Old Union.br
5. WE'RE A COMMUNITY THAT GIVES BACK.br
In this city of “Coach Dads” and “PTO Moms,” even our littlest residents have bigbrhearts. Been to a child's “Do-Good” birthday party lately?br
6. CELEB SIGHTINGS.br
Tony Romo and Jason Witten are regularly spotted on the sidelines at Southlakebryouth basketball games. And there must be somebody famous behind the wheelbrof that Arancio Orange Lamborghini we always see.br
7. OUR LOCAL FLAVOR.
A slice of Armend's pizza, a Johnny B's Dragon Burger or the side of comfort thatbris Feedstore's mac and cheese.br
8. INCREDIBLE CITY VOLUNTEERS AND STAFF.br
Paid or unpaid, they all make Southlake special. But Children's Story Time withbrMs. Elizabeth at the Southlake library will melt your heart.br
9. WATER FEATURES.br
We may not have enough water for our lawns, but watching it recirculate up,brthrough and around all our fountains has to be the next best thing.br
10. YOU WON'T FIND NICER PEOPLE ANYWHERE.br
Whether it's welcoming a newcomer via the Southlake Moms Facebook page orbrthe many friendly parent-teacher meetings, Southlake is simply a nice town.br
