It’s been 100 years since women received the right to vote through the passage of the 19th Amendment and to celebrate the milestone, the city of Grapevine celebrated through Suffrage Victory Train Excursions, according to a press release.
Hundreds of people came out to ride the Grapevine Vintage Railroad on September 13 to celebrate the occasion and learn more about women’s suffrage. Some of the passengers included members from the Daughters of the American Revolution, Girls Scouts of America and Dallas Women’s Vintage Society.
To really get in the celebratory mood, some guests came dressed in 1920s attire and made their own sashes, posters and signs.
