The Carroll Medical Academy (CMA) invites you to take partbrin its Annual Medical Professionals Career Day on February 11, 2016, at the CISDbrAdministration Building. The event is an opportunity for students to conversebrwith medical professionals, and it’s a chance for those in the medical field tobrgive back to the community.
Now in its 11thbryear, CMA is an advanced high school academic program for students who arebrinterested in pursuing careers in the medical field. The program, whichbrincludes 214 students in 9th through 12th grade, is underbrthe direction of Sherry Martin, Director/AP Biology teacher.
“CMA's Annual Career Day affordsbrour students the opportunity to explore the many and varied career tracksbravailable within the healthcare field,” says Trish Ballew of the CarrollbrMedical Academy Boosters. “Each year, all CMA students spend a day conversingbrwith medical professionals from across Southlake and the Metropolex. Aboutbr60 participants attended the most recent CMA Career Day.”
CMA is calling for allbrinterested medical professionals including physicians, biomedical engineers,brresearchers, nurses, pharmacists and scientists/engineers engaged in thebrpursuit of improved medical technologies and remedies.
“CMA's Annual Career Daybrcreates an environment in which our outstanding professionals can share theirbrexpertise, experiences and successes with students who are embarking on thebrsame journey and who share similar passions and interests,” Ballew says.
