COVID-19 has canceled many events but the city’s second annual Monarch Butterfly Festival is not one of them.
Set for September 26 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Bob Jones Nature Center & Preserve, people will be able to enjoy the festival in sessions limited to 40 people for safety, according to a press release. Each group will have all the supplies and materials needed to release their own monarch butterfly into the world.
Kids and adults will also receive festive goodies and be able to watch a how-to video on releasing their butterfly.
Pre-registration for Southlake’s second annual Monarch Butterfly Festival is required for all guests three and older, according to a press release. All registered guests will be able to release a monarch butterfly into the wild. Space for the festival is limited, so make sure to get your ticket now!
