The Carroll Dragons took on the Keller Indians Friday night in a hard fought contest on the road. The Dragons were able to make a first half surge last in another close 26-21 win. Kenny Hill threw 13-22 connecting with Peyton Williams for a 44 yard TD. Hill also rushed 10 times for 175 yards and two more scores. Drew Brown added a 33 yard field goal and safety Nick Melocik blocked a punt in the end zone. All of the Dragons 26 points came in the first half as the Indians defense tried to rally a comeback. Keller QB Davis Webb threw 25-43 for 240 yards and 2 TDs and Chandler Watkins pushed in a 1 yd TD run in the fourth quarter, but it wasn't enough to make the comeback complete.
Next Friday, the Dragons (5-0) head to Northwest ISD Stadium to take on Justin Northwest (3-2) who just fell to Keller Fossil Ridge 37-14.
