It’s the most wonderful time of the year in Southlake. Since 1999, Home For The Holidays has spread cheer throughout Town Square, uplifting spirits and joy among the festive families in attendance. With the 2024 event landing on Nov. 23, here are five things to know before going into this weekend’s seasonal celebration.
1. It’s The 25th Anniversary
Home For The Holidays debuted the same year Southlake Town Square was first unveiled to the public. That means this weekend will be commemorating the festival’s 25th anniversary. Alongside all of your favorite holiday experiences, this year’s festivities will include special commemorative pins and ornaments given out to revelers to celebrate this monumental milestone.
2. Jingles, Jingles All The Way
You can’t have the holidays without some classic Christmas caroling, and Home For The Holidays has plenty of that. Not only will the Southlake Community Band and school choirs be playing tunes throughout the evening, but the Uptown Carolers will be going around Town Square singing from a catalog of over 70 jingles.
3. Ice, Ice (Rink) Baby
While every year features its fair share of snowy attractions, such as its three-lane snow hill and ice sculptors, this weekend’s celebration will introduce a brand-new ice rink for families to skate on. The new ice rink will be open through Jan. 18 and will cost $15 through the Geoji ticketing app.
4. All Of The Lights
Though there will be many attractions to look forward to this weekend, few shine as bright as the annual Christmas tree lighting does. At 6 p.m. sharp, the 30-foot-tree will light up in all of its seasonal glory for starry-eyed families to soak in.
5. Illuminating Fireworks
While the Christmas tree lighting is the star attraction, there’s no better way to wrap up a festive evening than by finishing it off with a spectacular fireworks show. With all of the colors of red and green lighting up the night sky, it’s no wonder why Home For The Holidays continues to spread joy year after year.
