After postponing its tour last year due to the pandemic, the Ghosts of Southlake cemetery tour returns to Lonesome Dove Cemetery next month.
Located at 2380 Lonesome Dove Road, the Ghosts of Southlake cemetery tour is held by the Southlake Historical Society every year. Bringing Southlake history to life for one night only, this year’s cemetery tour will feature Southlake Mayor John Huffman and his wife Elizabeth, high school drama students and history enthusiasts portraying the real-life stories of those who lived in Southlake, according to a media release. Those stories include Civil War veterans, witnesses to the shootout of Bonnie and Clyde, a survivor of the 1836 Comanche raid on Parker’s Fort and two sisters who recorded stories of early settlers to the area. Councilmember Ronell Smith will be leading this year’s tour as its guide.
Tickets start at $10 and can be purchased from Eventbrite. Learn more about the upcoming tour at SouthlakeHistory.org.
