Work has begun onbrSouthlake's new office project, Granite Place at Southlake Town Square. Thebrseven-story, 160,733-square-foot office tower will be located on Highway 114brjust east of North Carroll Boulevard next to the Hilton Southlake. It’s slatedbrto have an attached parking garage, on-site fitness center, meeting facilitybrand an upscale restaurant.
Southlake Mayor Laura Hillbrtold MySouthlakeNews.com, “The Granite building is a tremendous project for thebrCity. It really is beginning the transformation of the Highway 114 corridorbrinto an upscale office environment. The employees in this building will greatlybrsupport our Town Square retailers and restaurants on a daily basis.”
Office buildings arebrtypically classified into one of three categories: Class A, Class B or Class C.brGranite Place is a Class-A building, which means it won't be anything less thanbrthe best. AreaDevelopment.com says that Class-A buildings “represent the newestbrand highest quality buildings in their market. They are generally the best-lookingbrbuildings with the best construction, and possess high-quality buildingbrinfrastructure. Class-A buildings also are well located, have good access andbrare professionally managed. As a result of this, they attract the highestbrquality tenants and also command the highest rents.”
SouthlakebrEconomic Development and Tourism Director, Shannon Hamons, said that thebrcompleted building is expected to bring several companies and more than 400brjobs to the community. He isn't concerned with any major traffic impacts sincebrentry and exit from the garage will be from the adjacent service road and notbrthrough Town Square.
