Although attendants won’t be able to experience the wine and good times of GrapeFest this year, they will still be able to come together and play at GrapeFest’s Tennis Classic this September.
After GrapeFest was canceled earlier in July due to COVID-19, event organizers were looking for other fun events they could host while social distancing. So instead of the four-day event filled with wine, food and family fun, GrapeFest will instead host a two-day tennis tournament at Dove Park, Grapevine High School and Colleyville Heritage High School on September 19 and 20. According to a media release, players can participate in singles and doubles matches and win up to $4,000 in prize money.
“We are very excited to host the GrapeFest Tennis Classic this year and can’t wait to welcome all players to this special tournament in late September,” TNT Tennis marketing director Tara Robbins says in the media release. “Many members of the community look forward to this tournament each year, and we think that the weekend will be an enjoyable one for all who play and attend.”
The entry fee for participants is $30-55 for singles and $18-30 for doubles. Participants will receive entry into the tournament, as well as a GrapeFest Tennis Classic T-shirt.
Entrants can register for the tournament at TNTTennis.net or GrapeFest.com/Tennis.
