The Humane Society of North Texas (HSNT) is clearing out its shelters, and it needs your help to find these animals their forever homes.
On Tuesday, May 3, the animal nonprofit announced that it needs help freeing up its five shelters that have dogs over 30 pounds. It needs the space to accommodate upcoming adoption events including Mayfest, a mega adoption event in June and ongoing Petco and PetSmart events throughout the summer, according to the media release.
President Susan Gulig says there are three direct ways animal lovers can help their organization. First, if you’re looking to adopt, you can visit HSNT’s website and look through names and photos of dogs looking for forever homes. Second, if you have the space to, house a foster animal in your home for a two-to-four week period. If all else fails, individuals can help cover fees to make adoptions even more affordable for those looking for their new four-legged friend.
If you would like to help, visit HSNT’s website and foster forms online or email Susan.Gulig@HSNT.org.
