TAPPS selects its top school by comparing the academic,brfine art and athletic achievements of each school throughout the year. At eachbrstate event, Liberty students remained on top, showcasing the academy'sbrdevotion to preparing its students for university life.
Along with being the overall Fine Arts champion for 2016,brthe school's dedicated athletes contributed the most points to date toward thebrstatewide tournament.
Although Liberty is one of the smaller schools in Classbr5A, the largest division of TAPPS, that didn't hinder the institution frombrsucceeding in multiple scholarly competitions. In fact, after only be open tobrstudents for two years, Liberty had already reached the 2A level, an impressivebraccomplishment for any newly established private school.
In the early 2000s, the academic institution contended inbrClass 4A and unsurprisingly won top school eight of nine years. Before long,brLiberty's student body was growing at a tremendous rate, allowing the school tobrcompete in Class 5A in 2010.
When the private school entered the highly competitivebrdivision, officials doubted the institution's ability to acquire thebrchampionship title against the biggest schools in TAPPS. However, in only threebryears, Liberty attained championship status and since then has won three successivebryears.

Over 1,300 students celebrated their fourth major triumphbrin the school's gym as principals from every level highlighted key studentbrachievements that made Liberty a difficult competitor to beat.
Liberty Christian Headmaster Ed Cook concluded thebryear-end celebration assembly by presenting Dr. Haire the TAPPS championshipbrtrophy on behalf of TAPPS.
