Get out your finest hats – the American CancerbrSociety is hosting its second annual “High Tea and Conversation” charity event.brIt will be held at 12:30 p.m., Sunday, November 15 at Piazza in the Village inbrColleyville. And you're invited.
Featured speaker will be Royal Chef Darren McGrady, the former chef atbrboth Buckingham Palace and Kensington Palace for Queen Elizabeth II, the latebrPrincess Diana, Prince William and Prince Harry. McGrady is an expert on thebrroyal way of life, and he knows a little bit about American royalty, too,brhaving cooked for Presidents Ford, Bush, Reagan and Clinton. McGrady'sbrcookbook, Eating Royally; Recipes andbrRemembrances from a Palace Kitchen, is now in its sixth printing.
Serving as chairwoman is Zoe Kirby of Colleyville. Assisting her arebrcommittee members Valerie Skinner, Susan Dunkel, Mary Morton, Adelaide Griffin,brStephanie House, Tanya Morris and D'Lissa Cunningham.
The fundraiser will also include a silent auction with items rangingbrfrom a wooden rocking horse similar to one Prince William owned to fine Englishbrchina tea cups commemorating the recent christening of Princess Charlotte.
