They've put a name to a face, if you consider broken ground at the Community Recreation Center location a face. After exploring several naming options, The Marq was selected as the master brand in a city council meeting Oct. 21. The City of Southlake partnered with Dallas-based marketing agency, Willow St., to name and brand the facility.

Phase 1 will be approximately 23,367 sq. ft. and will include; an events hall, multipurpose conference and meeting spaces, a club lounge, catering kitchen, senior center and events space has been named Legends Hall. The name given to the amphitheater, also part of Phase 1 construction, is Aria. The expected completion date of Phase 1 is late 2015.
Phase 2, approximately 84,000 sq. ft., has yet to be approved, and requires an election. However, it already has been given the apt name of Champions Club, it will include spaces for; fitness, performance training, a gymnasium, an indoor jog/walk track, an indoor aquatics area and an indoor playground.
