This year's Relay ForbrLife, a signature event of the American Cancer Society, should be bigger thanbrever. The 2016 Relay For Life of Northern Tarrant County combines Relaysbrformerly held in Southlake, Keller and Grapevine and includes areas such asbrColleyville, Roanoke and Westlake for a completely new event. The action willbrunfold on Saturday, July 23 from 6 p.m. to midnight at Texas Motor Speedway.
“We are so excited aboutbrthis Relay For Life including all the communities of northern Tarrant County,”brsaid Event Manager Sonia Leal. “With it being in the summer, we're hopingbrfamilies will come out to enjoy the entertainment and to support a worthybrcause.”
Relay For Life celebratesbrcancer survivors and continues the fight against cancer that was started 103bryears ago when the American Cancer Society was created. Relay For Life events,brnow numbering more than 6,000 worldwide, are free, family events open to thebrpublic. All cancer survivors are invited to launch the Relay by taking thebrfirst lap together.
