City of Southlake
After several years of fixes and repairs, the Park Village Fountain is getting a fresh makeover on Southlake Boulevard.
Last week, Southlake city councilmember Shawn McCaskill announced that ShopCore Properties has submitted an application to redesign the fountain located next to Gloria’s Latin Cuisine on Carroll Avenue.
According to the application, the new concept plan proposes a reconfiguration of the corner area that includes a smaller fountain, a performance area, a pavilion, an activity lawn, additional seating and more green space and trees. A sculpture installation is also proposed for the fountain.
The planning and zoning commission will consider the rezoning application during its next meeting at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 8 at Southlake Town Hall. After the commission makes its recommendation, the Southlake City Council will consider the redesign during its meetings on October 20 and November 3.
