
Christmas may be in 25 days, but Southlake’s holiday cheer will be going on for the next 20 days.
Last week, the city of Southlake released its event lineup for its 20 Days of Holiday Cheer celebration. On Tuesday, December 1, the city will host its Southlake Cares donation drive all day in various locations. On Wednesday, December 2, the 20th Home for the Holidays ornament pick up will take place at Rustin & Family Park in Southlake Town Square.
The Southlake Public Library will then give out holiday cheer kits on Thursday, December 3, and holiday-themed photo ops will take place all day Friday, December 4. Then on Saturday, December 5, Santa is joining Legends Hall for breakfast while the Holiday Cheer Parade will start at 6 p.m. on Sunday, December 6 at Dragon Stadium.
On Monday, December 7, Santa will once again return to Legends Hall to take pictures, while residents will be able to warm up with donuts and drinks on Tuesday, December 8 and Wednesday, December 9. A Menorah Lighting ceremony will be at Rustin & Family Park on Thursday, December 10, and good girls and boys can mail letters to Santa on Friday, December 11 in the same park. A gingerbread house decorating day will be held on Saturday, December 12, and random acts of kindness will be held virtually all day on Sunday, December 13.
The last week of celebrations kicks off with a spreading holiday cheer event on Monday, December 14, while Champions Club is hosting an outdoor fitness event on Tuesday, December 15. A hot chocolate stroll will take place at Southlake Town Square on Wednesday, December 16, and the Mayor’s Alliance for Unity & Culture will host a virtual holiday traditions event on Thursday, December 17. A virtual cookie decorating session will be held on Friday, December 18, and the last weekend will feature a snow hill and an ugly sweater contest.
