Southlake’s police K-9 duo Nathaniel Anderson and his partner Duco will get the chance to prove they’re America’s top dogs on TV this Wednesday. Hosted by sportscaster Curt Menefee and expert dog trainer Nick White, "America’s Top Dog" brings together the nation’s top police dogs and their handlers to compete on the ultimate K-9 obstacle course, according to its website.
Serving Southlake since 2015, Anderson and Duco are no strangers to competition. They won the Top Patrol Dog at the North American Police Working Dog Association in 2018, and they won the Hard Dog and Top Narcotics Dog honors at the Canine Skills and Agility Competition last year.
“It's not every day America gets to see what we see each and every moment in Officer Anderson and Duco,” Southlake DPS Public Information Officer Brad Uptmore says. “Their hard work and dedication to each other and the city of Southlake will surely transpire onto the screen, and we wish them the best of luck.”
You can catch Anderson and Duco compete against a flurry of other underdogs at 8 p.m. on Wednesday on A&E. To learn more about the show, go online at AETV.com.
