Four Southlake families recently had the opportunity to volunteer their time and efforts at a Dallas BIG Give campaign event. This ongoing campaign allows area non-profits to have fun while engaging donors in fundraising.
The Dallas Convention & Visitors Bureau, HelmsBriscoe, a global company specializing in meetings procurement, and the Renaissance Dallas Hotel teamed up with Clean the World to package and distribute 10,000 hygiene kits from partner hotels for local charities. Local charities receiving products include Girls, Inc., The Bridge North Texas, Captain Hopes Kids, and Homeless Veterans Services of Dallas.
Clean the World collects and recycles soap and other hygiene products discarded by the hospitality industry. The not-for-profit organization distributes these and other donated hygiene products to at-risk people to help prevent the millions of deaths caused by hygiene-related illnesses every year.
"We are excited to be part of the Dallas BIG Give event and thankful for HelmsBriscoe and Dallas Visitors & Convention Bureau for making this ONE Project build possible," said Partner Relations Director, Clean The World. "This joint effort will impact thousands of lives in a positive way and that is truly amazing."
The Renaissance Dallas, the key sponsor of the event, hosted the kit-assembling volunteers. "Our local community partnerships and giving back are at the cornerstone of who we are as a brand,” said Mark Woelffer, General Manager, Renaissance Dallas Hotel. “The Renaissance Dallas is proud to partner with the Dallas Convention & Visitors Bureau, HelmsBriscoe and Clean the World to support this community initiative."
