This year, the city of Southlake had over 3,000 volunteers, providing over 30,000 hours of service — a value of $750,000, according to a press release.
“Our volunteers are the heart of Southlake,” Volunteer Coordinator Lindy Calzada says. “They are often our first point of contact to the public, and provide insight, feedback and information that helps us make this great community possible. We’re honored that our volunteers would team up with us and appreciate all of their hard work and dedication to Southlake.”
To honor the volunteers that make Southlake great, the city gives awards to volunteers in a number of categories. Due to COVID-19, an in-person celebration could not take place, but that isn’t stopping the city from celebrating these great individuals.
Congratulations to all these wonderful volunteers for making Southlake great!
