Everyone is always asking “Where’s Waldo?” But this July, locals have a definitive answer in Grapevine.
All month long, Talking Animals Books is teaming up with the American Booksellers Association to host a “Where’s Waldo?”-themed scavenger hunt in celebration of the beloved children’s icon. Since its creation in 1987, “Where’s Waldo” has sold over 80 million books worldwide and has been translated into over 30 languages.
“Waldo is a beloved character that almost everyone knows,” Talking Animals co-owner Valerie Walizadeh says. “It’s such a fun way to shake up the summer activities and encourage folks to check out all the unique shops we have on Main Street.”
To participate, families just need to pick up a “Find Waldo” stamp card at participating stores in Grapevine. Each Waldo they find will get their card stamped or signed for special prizes, such as “Where’s Waldo?” Books and other fun giveaways from local businesses.
“It’s a great way to bring the community together,” Talking Animals co-founder Katy Lemieux says. “We love how Grapevine is such a collective of creative and fun small businesses.”
