After a steady rollout of vaccinations, the Tarrant County Public Health Department confirmed on Friday afternoon that it has completed issuing appointments to those registered on its COVID-19 vaccine waiting list.
Initially focusing on health care providers and first responders, the county went on to prioritize the elderly and those with pre-existing conditions before opening up eligibility to residents older than 16, according to the department website. With now over 700,000 residents receiving at least one dose of the vaccine, the department announced that it has finished vaccinating everybody on its waitlist. According to the department, those who register for a vaccine now can expect to be contacted with 24-48 hours of signing up.
