In 2020, the Young Men’s Service League stepped up during a difficult time and contributed over 5,000 community service hours during the pandemic. Last weekend, the nonprofit was recognized during Summer Santa’s Boo Bash for its efforts with the Art of Philanthropy award.
Every year, Summer Santa recognizes an individual or organization that exemplifies the spirit of giving back to the community, according to a media release. Summer Santa recognized YMSL and its philanthropy chair Ughetta Miller with this year’s award not just for their community involvement in 2020, but for supporting its initiative for over 10 years.
“I am pleased that YMSL Southlake was selected to receive one of this year’s Art of Philanthropy awards,” Summer Santa chair David Burr says. “We are very excited to recognize YMSL for their long-standing support of Summer Santa.”
The organization was recognized with the honor during a ceremony on Saturday, Oct. 23. Learn more about the nonprofit organizations at YMSLSouthlake.com and SummerSanta.org.
