It appears soccer star and Southlake's own Lexi Missimo won't be too far from home the next time she takes the pitch.
Trinity FC, Dallas' USL Super League franchise, announced Jan. 29 it signed Missimo to a contract through the 2026-27 season. A press release sent out by Trinity FC said Missimo will play in Trinity FC's first game Feb. 15 at the Cotton Bowl.
The official Dallas Trinity FC X account also announced Missimo's signing:
Missimo has been on a star-studded path since she was the top-ranked recruit coming out of Carroll High School in 2020. She then played for Dallas' Solar Soccer Club before beginning her collegiate athletic career at the University of Texas. She finished as the Lady Longhorn's all-time leader in points (176), goals (56) and assists (64).
She also represented the U.S. Youth National Team 32 times and was most recently selected to the 2025 USWNT Futures Camp.
“We are thrilled to bring Lexi home to play here in Dallas,” Dallas Trinity FC General Manager Chris Petrucelli said in the release. “We're not just getting an exceptional midfielder, we're also getting a player who understands what it means to represent Dallas. From her days at Solar SC through her historic career at Texas, she's consistently shown the ability to elevate every team she's been a part of. Her decision to begin her professional career here in Dallas is a testament to our vision of building something special in North Texas.”
