It's a bird, it's a plane, it's... the Gaylord Texan's exciting new DC-universe themed attraction, Universe of Light.
Running from May 23 to September 1, this immersive lantern exhibit -- spanning over 17,500 square feet -- is set to feature more than 1,000 glowing lanterns that will bring to life iconic superheroes, super-villains and legendary locations like Gotham City. The Instagram-worthy interactive experience will take visitors inside incredible destinations, like Wonder Woman's homeland, Themyscira, and give a front row seat to an epic battle between the Justice League and an intergalactic foe. Lucky guests will even get a chance to sit inside the Batmobile.
The exhibit showcases the intricate artistry of Zigong, China—known as the Lantern Capital of the World—featuring 30 miles of silk and designed by 160 Zigong artisans, whose lantern-making tradition spans over 1,000 years.
This event will be available to overnight resort guests and local daytime visitors. Tickets to Universe of Light are on sale starting today.
