Hard hats on, everyone — Grapevine Mills Mall is about to get a whole lot dirtier (in the best possible way).
Dig World is officially coming to Grapevine Mills, bringing full-throttle fun and larger-than-life construction adventures to one of North Texas’s top shopping and entertainment destinations.
The construction-themed adventure park that lets guests operate real (but safely modified) heavy machinery, is set to open early next year, per a press release from Dancie Perugini Ware Public Relations.
Fresh off a buzzworthy appearance on Shark Tank, Dig World is teaming up with Texas-based trick-shot legends Dude Perfect to add custom-designed challenges to its already one-of-a-kind lineup. Think bulldozers, excavators, and boom lifts — plus sand pits, skill games, and construction-themed trick shots.
Grapevine will be the second Dig World location -- the first opened in Katy, Texas -- with plans for a national rollout already underway.
“Grapevine Mills has become a premier destination for immersive entertainment, from Meow Wolf to LEGOLAND Discovery Center to adventures at The Escape Game,” said Joe Szymaszek, General Manager at Grapevine Mills, in the release. “We’re thrilled to welcome Dig World to the mix as it brings a whole new level of hands-on, family-friendly fun to our center.”
Behind the idea is Houston entrepreneur Jacob Robinson, inspired by his son Pierce, who lives with special needs and has long been fascinated by construction equipment. His story — and his mission — caught the attention of Shark Tankinvestor Robert Herjavec, who partnered with Dig World on the show.
"Dig World is going to be huge," Herjavec said. "It's fun, it's exciting and it's got real potential to grow nationwide."
Visitors can expect full-size, kid-friendly machinery, obstacle courses, trick shots and lots of dirt. Sign up for updates at digworldnation.com.
