Now that the snow is in the rearview mirror - at least for now, there is no shortage of events to get you fired up. From parades to rodeos, this week is full of fun events for the whole family. Here are five upcoming events that you won’t want to miss.
FORT WORTH STOCK SHOW AND RODEO
JANUARY 17 - FEBRUARY 8 | FORT WORTH STOCKYARDS
Go around to Fort Worth’s historic district for the annual Stock Show and Rodeo that’s sure to throw your expectations out of the arena. With eye-catching performances, seat-gripping bull rides, live music, a livestock show, a petting zoo and more, this event is perfect for friends and families of all ages. With an array of local watering holes offering Texas-sized bites, let’s just be grateful there isn’t an eating contest in one of the timed events!
JANUARY 18 | FAIR PARK
Featuring approximately 250 entrants from various community organizations, church groups and nonprofits, this year’s parade will liven the streets of Downtown Dallas with marching bands, drill teams, colorful floats, performers, food trucks and much more. Presented by Hope Encourage Love Protect (H.E.L.P.), the MLK Day Parade is a testament to the power of community. It is one of many events occurring during the 2025 MLK Celebration Week, which also includes a day of reflection, candle lighting ceremony, equity indicators symposium, an MLK Fest and a scholarship and awards gala.
